SnüzPod2 3-in-1

Stylish, functional and safe, the Snuzpod2 3-in-1 is a truly brilliant product that enables parents to co-sleep safely, feed easily and be close to their baby

The Snuzpod has fast become famous in the bedside crib world and, in our opinion, rightly so. We found the Snuzpod2 3-in-1 to be an excellent sleeping solution for those parents who would like to co-sleep and be closer to their baby.

In terms of comfort and safety, the Snuzpod scored full marks. The cot can attach to any bed (even divan and ottoman types) using straps, which are easily connected. You can adjust the height of the cot to match your bed, so you’ll always be able to pull it snug against your mattress. We found there was no danger of the cot falling or tipping, and the rocking motion is not available in side-sleeping mode. The included mattress is made of a luxurious quilted fabric, and the cover is washable, a must-have for any new parent.

As well as being a co-sleeping side cot, the Snuzpod can be used as a standalone crib or as a bassinet. This versatility was really convenient – our tester appreciated being able to move the bassinet into the living room easily. This would also mean you could forgo buying a Moses basket. The cot can be rocked gently in either configuration, which is a nice touch that our tester’s baby loved.

The Snuzpod is designed to last six months, which we can definitely believe. The bassinet is generously sized, giving our little tester plenty of room to grow.

Definitely worth the money. It's really well made and a gorgeous design, which I liked. Great to have baby right next to me, and the wall was easy to zip up and down during the night.

The price does appear daunting (retailing around the £200 mark), and the purchase of a number of accompanying accessories could certainly boost the cost even further. For example, both the baby bedding (£35) or the very handy side pocket (£20) – which enables you to store some bedside essentials. These little well-thought-out extras did really impress our tester (and of course our mini-tester) but come at a cost.

All in all, however, we were definitely impressed, and think it’s a very worthy runner up as an ideal crib for those who are looking to co-sleep.
