Fun Ways To Celebrate Easter At Home

Fun Ways To Celebrate Easter At Home

Easter is all about gathering with friends and family, traveling, or going on community egg hunts. This year, many shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants organize loads of activities and events. All to celebrate this grand festival! In addition, this year you might also find amazing deals on buffets in many fantastic restaurants. But this doesn’t mean that it has to be any less magical if you choose to celebrate Easter at home.

Check out a few ideas of how you can all have a good time this weekend and celebrate with family.

Easter egg decoration

Why not throw your very own Easter Party. Spend time together as a family painting and decorating some Easter eggs. Your little ones can draw funny faces or animal patterns; they can even stick on cut-outs such as butterflies, their name, buttons, or flower petals. Use paintbrushes, water makers, or even nail polish… encourage them to think outside the box and be creative.

Easter egg hunt

If you have a big garden, you can have your very own scavenger hunt outdoors. If not, no problem, you can make it equally fun indoors.

Make the hunt more exciting by including not only Easter eggs but little chocolate bunnies, crayons, and mini coloring books.

Leave little clues on each item leading to the immense treasure: it could be a toy, a special treat, or anything they’ve been anticipating for a while.

Baking

Baking is always a good idea and an opportunity to bond with your little ones. They will forever treasure fun memories created on special occasions.

Enjoy making simple cupcakes with your child, add the frosting of your choice, top it with a few mini Easter chocolate eggs with sprinkles, and voila you’ve just made yourselves the easiest Easter nest cupcakes ever!

You can make this activity even more engaging by inviting your child to choose their own recipe and assign simple tasks for them to help with based on their age.

Arts and Crafts

Young children enjoy getting creative and messy over arts and crafts on occasions like this. So we’ve picked up our favorites Easter art projects that are perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners alike. The best thing about this project list is that you can create them from supplies you already have at home.

Move your family gathering to zoom

Expats or people in isolation can still celebrate with friends and family – from a distance – make sure you include your kids in the conversation! You can even enjoy a family meal together while sharing a screen or plan a virtual cousin playdate where they can dress up, show off their crafts or egg decorations, and maybe the Easter Bunny can make a surprise appearance too :)!

Don’t forget to share with us your Easter celebrations!
