We all know them, those mums who seem to look effortlessly fab at drop off and pick up. While you sit there with porridge in your hair wondering how they look so good so early after getting the troops fed, washed, clothed and transported to school.
Here are some easy beauty hacks to get a little more polish into your morning school run!
- Wash your hair the night before, and if you don’t manage that, pass the dry shampoo. This one even has chia seed in it, so it will basically make you look like Gwyneth.
- Skip foundation – the fact is if you don’t have time to blend it well, you will end up looking worse than you did without it. Go for a tinted moisturiser with SPF, not only will it blend in well, you cover three steps in one – moisturise, even out complexion and sunscreen. That my friends is what we call a mum hat-trick!
Coconut oil – If you are not on the coconut oil bandwagon, then it’s time to get on. Not only is it fantastic in the kitchen but also you can keep it handy to use as an intensive body moisturiser. It can also be used as a weekly deep conditioning mask for shiny locks.
Get the “beach babe hair look” by sleeping with braided hair. Take out the braid in the morning, add a little hairspray to tame the flyaways and you have a flawless natural wavy look without too much effort.
Bags be gone! This was a trick we picked up from one of our favourite boss mums -Huda Beauty who recommends sweet almond oil massaged lightly to the eye area to help reduce dark bags. If Huda says to do it, we do it!
A bit of blush – if you need an instant pick me up, drop a little colour on your cheeks for an instant pop.
Coffee! Ok so we know its not a beauty hack, but what’s a school run without a coffee in hand? Make it fancy with this gorgeous Nespresso machine and make it extra fancy with a reusable coffee mug.
