6 Child-Friendly Destinations for your Vacation

6 Child-Friendly Destinations for your Vacation

Deciding where to go on holidays is always exciting, there are so many wonderful places in the world that are waiting to be explored. However, with so many options, how do you know which is the best pick for you and your family? How do you know the best child-friendly destinations?

We have done the hard work for you, we’ve researched and tested (I know it’s a hard life) lots of destinations and shortlisted the top six child-friendly destinations.

Singapore

Singapore is jam-packed with all sorts of great activities that will meet the needs of any family. Do you like busy days and exploring or quiet days by the pool or perhaps you want to hit up a local hot spot? Well, Singapore has it all. Singapore is a melting pot of cultures and experiences. It is a very easy place to get around, it’s super clean, and it’s incredibly safe. A few of my favorite Singapore experiences include; Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa Island, the zoo (night safari is amazing) and the local street food hubs.

Austria

If you want to explore beautiful landscapes and breath in the fresh country air, then Austria is a top pick. Your children can run free through green fields (or snow). They will enjoy quaint towns, visit beautiful gardens and galleries, eat delicious food and enjoy numerous playgrounds. Austria is also a great place to expose your child to the culture and classical music, galleries and ballet. If you are there over Christmas, don’t forget to set aside some time for the much loved Christmas markets.

Canada

Canada is a large country so it’s best to pick a few areas to explore rather than trying to see everything. No matter where you decide to visit though you will see jaw-dropping beautiful nature. Along with lovely nature, Canada is also very welcoming of children. With lots of purpose-built play and learning opportunities and museums, enjoyable indoor activities and lots of outdoor adventures.

Mauritius

Mauritius is the perfect destination for all-inclusive resort loving families. There are lots of wonderful resorts that cater to your family’s needs. With kid’s clubs that will keep your little ones busy and happy for hours on end as they learn water sports, language, music and games. Plus, a wide variety of different pools and beaches (with lifeguards for extra safety). You will definitely be able to relax and rejuvenate and have quality family time – all in one holiday.

Finland

I couldn’t write this list without including Finland simply because Lapland is every child’s dream come true (and many adults too). Experience the magic of Finland with experiences such as the Northern Lights, and reindeer sledging. Also, check out traditional ice fishing, snowmobile safaris and the beautiful natural winter wonderland. Lapland is also known to be the true home to Santa Claus, making for a magical Christmas holiday!

Kenya

For those looking for a bit more adventure, look no further than a holiday in Kenya. You will be spoiled with choices for activities and things to do with kids. Expose your children to culture through a visit to Maasai village and let them become a warrior for the day. Teach your children about different people in the world. Set aside a few days for a safari – one of the only places that will take children under age 6 inside the national park. If you want to splurge a bit and have a very special few days, book yourself into the Giraffe Manor for an experience your family will never forget.
