The Travel Checklist You Shouldn’t Be Without

The Travel Checklist You Shouldn’t Be Without

With everyone getting vaccinated, and airlines opening up again, everyone is planning for a fun summer vacation. Here is an A to Z travel checklist that you shouldn’t be without, especially when travelling during Covid.

1| Write down everything you need.

Be it wipes, diapers, medication, or anything else. Writing those things down makes things easier as you pack your bags. Phone reminders can come in handy especially if you are out shopping for the main essentials.

2| Prepare for the best and the worst.

Pack everything you need. Put your money, passports, and all important documents in a separate bag that is easy to reach. Make sure this bag does not leave your sight. Once you get to your destination, place the bag in a safe place or in an actual safe as most hotel rooms have one.

When booking your flight, make sure to have travel insurance just in case.

2| Pack precautions.

Imagine this: you’re on the plane, everyone is seated and buckled as you throw yourself into your seat heaving a huge sigh of relief. Suddenly, your two-year-old toddler turns to you requesting her favorite coloring book and colors. Panic alert!

No worries, that is why we recommend packing precautions to avoid those panic alerts. Here are the top 5 must haves on a flight with younger kids:

  • 1| A change of clothes, for you and the kids.
  • 2| Panadol (for you).
  • 3| Favorite toys, games, books or any other pastime that helps them stay in their seats.
  • 4| Favorite snacks – biscuits, rice cakes, fruits, sandwiches, candy and chocolate to avoid potential tantrums!
  • 5| New, never seen before games – kids get instantly distracted and absorbed with new toys and games.

3| Face masks, gloves, and face shields.

Whether you are vaccinated or not, face masks are still mandatory in most countries. If you are using cloth face masks, then we suggest having an extra spare one in case yours got dirty. If you are wearing surgical masks, then pack plenty of spares because you will need to change it along the way.

Make sure to pack them in multiple bags, and to have them at your reach to stay protected at all times.

Here is a more straightforward travel checklist to help you pack:

  • – diapers, wipes, changing mat
  • – face masks, hand sanitizer
  • – hand gloves, face shields
  • – old favorite toys, and new never been used toys
  • – a change of clothes for the flight and for vacationing
  • – sun screen, creams, and moisturizers
  • – comfortable change of shoes
  • – plane snacks
  • – medications for both you and your kids
  • – all the important documents
  • – phone chargers, headphones, and any important electronics
