Kids Songs: Are There Any That Won’t Drive Mums Crazy?

Kids Songs: Are There Any That Won’t Drive Mums Crazy?

Kids love songs and music. Whether they were meant for grown ups or the little ones. Some songs simply stick with our kids and it drives us mums crazy. We bet that we can find some kids songs that both you and your little ones can enjoy. Without having to wear earplugs and pray for it to end. So, check out some enjoyable kids songs picked by mums fully experienced with this.

But before that, is music good for kids?

Many studies and research show that music is extremely good for kids’ milestone development. They help our little ones’  brain development, language skills, and emotional development as well. Furthermore, some parents think that music is good only for toddlers. But in fact, you can use music from your child’s birth to help their growth and development. Quiet and soothing music can help newborn babies calm down.

As for toddlers, music encourages them to both move and express themselves. They can use some of the nursery rhymes they listen to to express themselves and their feelings. In addition, kids’ songs help children’s memorization skills. The same applies to preschoolers. Learning through music is one of the best ways for children to start their learning journey. Preschoolers can learn a lot through music like colors, animals, and activities.

The benefits of music and kids songs does not stop here. But as our kids grow up, they use music even more to express themselves, get motivation to study, and learn good manners. Our job as parents during this phase is to make sure that the music is kid-friendly.

So, what kids songs that probably won’t drive you crazy?

HeyKids Nursery Rhymes

More specifically, their 37 minute music collection. Many mums love it because it includes their kids’ favorite songs in a nice and kind of a quick pace. This collection is perfect to play during a drive in the car, or simply for some dancing time. In addition, it includes fun nursery rhymes like A Ram Sam Sam song, Rain, Rain, Go Away, and much more.

Cocomelon

Who doesn’t know JJ and his fun family, right? And while listening to Cocomelon for hours on end is not that fun, some of it can actually be fun. Mums love that those songs use a storytelling style which engages their kids and helps them learn new things. You can catch Cocomelon on either YouTube, or Netflix Kids.

Disney Movie songs

Most new parents grew up watching old Disney movies like Lion King, Tarzan, Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins and the Jungle book. And sometimes, we find ourselves humming those tunes. This can be a perfect foundation for things in common between you and your kids. You can make a movie night out of it, and then download the tracks. This way both you and your kids can enjoy listening to some of your old favorites.

Kids songs that aren’t really meant for kids

There are some songs out there that you can enjoy with your kids without worrying about words or harsh music. Pick your favorites and introduce them to your kids, they might actually love your taste in music. Some mums love singing Happy by Will Pharrell or Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake. There are plenty of songs to choose from, but make sure you check both music and lyrics to make sure they are kids friendly.

It’s not just music, musical toys are just as great for your little angels.

Finally, listening to those songs on repeat can be a bit exhausting. But what experienced mums say, is that eventually you get used to them. So, hang in there!
