Slime: This Summer’s Big Great Thing

Slime: This Summer’s Big Great Thing

Slime is the thing of the moment – kids from ages 5 up to 13 love the slime. Lots of recipes have been flying around but we have managed to pin down a favourite! Slime comes in many forms, butter slime, bubble slime and slimy slime! This recipe is for fluffy slime!

How To Create the Best Slime

Your ingredients:

  • 3 x 50ml PVA Glue
  • Persil washing up liquid
  • Shaving foam

First, empty out the 3 bottles of glue into a bowl and stir. Next, fill up the empty glue containers with tap water and shake. Pour the contents into the bowl with the glue and stir. Add shaving foam, not too much, maybe half of the amount of glue. Next, add the Persil one drop at a time until the mixture becomes solid enough to hold and still a little sticky (if you want a colored slime, add a few drops of food coloring here). Take the mixture out of the bowl and start kneading it with your hands until it’s not sticky.

To make it stretchy, add a pump of body lotion to the mixture! Enjoy the Slime!

How to make the best popsicles

To make the best homemade popsicles ever, you need to make some homemade lemonade first by squeezing 5 lemons, adding three tablespoons of sugar and 5 cups of water and mixing.

Then cut up some fruit of your choice into small pieces like: Strawberries, raspberries, kiwis, blueberries, blackberries and loads more! Then fill ¾ of the popsicle moulds with lemonade and then plop in some fruit and chill in the freezer and enjoy!

How to DIY your own crates and mason jars

Get any old jar or crate and paint it the colour of your choice. Make sure to use acrylic paint not regular poster paint. While they are still wet, add some colourful glitter, then leave it to dry for about an hour. Stick cut outs and decorations of your choice with some tape or glue.

Use your jars for as pencil and colour holders, and your crates for your little knick-knacks!
