At this time, our little ones hopped on the school bus and got back to school. It is an exciting time for both us mumz and our children. But times fly and within no time you will find that other holidays and school breaks are right around the corner. Plan fun adventures for both you and your family around the official dates for the UAE school holidays.
First of all, those dates are officially regulated and announced by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education. And so, they are unlikely to be changed or modified by the Ministry of Education. However, we recommend checking with your kids’ school regularly for any updates that might happen.
This year’s academic year (2021/2022) has already began on Aug 29, 2021. And during this academic year, there are three main UAE school holidays that you should plan ahead.
UAE school holidays for the 2021/2022 academic year
1| Winter Break: December 12 – 30 Dec 2021
This 3 week holiday is the first for this academic year. Starting from December 12th and lasts till the end of the year 2021. Start planning the first break after school starts with fun activities for you and your family. Three weeks gives you enough time to travel, go on local trips, and plan indoor fun!
The UAE winter is quite nice and warm compared to other countries. Enjoy a day on Sunset Beach which is located between the Arabian Gulf and Umm Suqeim Park. Or you can head to The Beach, JBR – where you can have everything! From coastal town-style cafes to high street shopping. Enjoy a movie after a day of beachside relaxations. Sounds great doesn’t it?
Also, you can go skiing, visit Dubai Aquarium, or go on a fun camping trip. Another fun and entertaining thing to do during winter break is to hit Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) which starts on Dec 26, 2021. It is loaded with fun activities that you can sign up for with your family.

2| Spring Break: March, 27 – April 14 2022
The second official holiday break is almost 2 weeks long. While two weeks might not be enough to travel, there are plenty to do. Staying home to relax and recharge is one of the best things your little ones can do during this relatively short break. But it does not mean you cannot plan fun things to do! Many parents fear that those adventures won’t be so entertaining to themselves, but visiting this great site will ensure fun for you and your family.

This is Dubai’s largest indoor theme park. It is so big and there is so much to do. You can visit their theme adventure zones like Marvel, Cartoon Network, and Lost Valley. You can get on thrilling rides, catch a movie or two, dine with your family, and shop till you drop!
Dubai Dolphinarium
This is a home to a number of UAE’s most unique indoor family entertainment & is now one of the most loved Dubai tourist attractions. Get down there and enjoy a Dolphin & Seal Show, Creek Park Bird Show, and a chance to swim with dolphins. Those indoor facilities include everything you and your family need. Book a day of adventure there and enjoy the amazing extravaganza!
If you are taking a road trip to visit those places, do not forget to come prepared with everything you need. This includes sun protection, snacks, and a packed lunch.
3| Summer Holiday: July 1 – August 27, 2022
Finally, summer break! Which is everyone’s favorite. Not only do you and your children celebrate the end of this academic year, but you also get 7 weeks of fun and relaxation. While you can do and visit every place we mentioned before, you can also take things a little abroad. Plan an unforgettable travel experience for you and your family.
